When I first started gardening, I saw four Yellowpatch Skippers in my garden at one time.  Until last year, I would usually see it once a year.  It was a frequent visitor last year, and seeing two of them together was common.  The patches often appear white, depending on the lighting conditions and the angle of the sun.  But when viewed from the right angle under the right conditions, the brilliance of the yellow on their wings is not soon forgotten.  None of these pictures do justice to that brilliance.
