Ageratum houstonianum - Floss Flower

Ageratum houstonianum - Floss Flower "Blue Horizon"

I've only grown the Blue Horizon variety of Floss Flower two times.  Even though I started the seeds indoors ten weeks before planting outside, it still didn't bloom until July.  It grows about 2' tall, and the leaves give off a strong ammonia odor when rubbed between the fingers.  It is supposed to be a good butterfly plant, but I saw no evidence of that.
