Lemon Fluff has large, soft flower heads, which have a very light fragrance when sniffed from close proximity. It grows 3'-3½' tall in my garden when in bloom, with 4" high basal foliage when not flowering. It only blooms for about two weeks beginning in late June or early July. If you plant enough of them, you can have flowers for a month. The large seeds can be sown successfully directly in the garden. The plants are not long-lived, and should be divided every two years to maintain their vigor, and to provide replacements. Some of my plants produce many more flowers per stem than others, and I am planning on propagating my best ones. |
