Mountain Pink (Creeping Phlox, Moss Pink) is a low-growing, evergreen groundcover or rock-garden plant for sunny areas. The one pictured is the variety "Emerald Pink." I originally planted an unnamed phlox I had purchased at a nursery. That phlox wasn't evergreen, had fewer and less attractive flowers, and was kind of mangy looking. I would strongly suggest planting any of the Emerald series of phlox, or any other well-known variety. I prune my plants with hedge shears after flowering to keep them looking neat. |
