Periwinkle is an evergreen groundcover that grows exceptionally well in shady areas.  It's blue flowers look spectacular against its dark green leaves in the spring.  It will spread rapidly, rooting wherever the stems come in contact with the soil.  It is easy to grow from stem cuttings.  Plant this where nothing else will grow.
